Also known as Libby Lodge, the Snowy Range Lodge is located within the Medicine Bow Range, a northern prong of that part of the Rocky Mountains extending north into southern Wyoming from Colorado. The lodge is situated on National Forest property three miles west of Centennial, Wyoming. Construction of the lodge was completed in 1925. The building is significant because of its architecture and because of its history. Its size and design call attention to this unique log structure, few of which remain in the Medicine Bow National Forest, or elsewhere in Wyoming. The lodge has been a focal point for recreationists in the region since 1925.
